Powers and West Win B.A.I.T. TN-I on Ft. Loudoun

It was a beautiful day on Ft. Loudoun Saturday May 15, 2010 for the last regular season qualifying tournament of B.A.I.T.'s TN-I division. Forty - eight boats showed up to compete Saturday. Craig Powers and John West took first place honors with a nice limit of bass weighing 21.05 lbs. They netted $1,100.00 for their efforts. Second place went to Jonathan Bowling and Mark Jackson with 18.03 lbs. worth $800.00. Third place went to Doug and David Winchell with 14.87 lbs. worth $500.00. Fourth place went to Brian and Robby Hazel with 12.82 lbs. worth $300.00. Fifth place went to Billy Tipton and Chris McReynolds with 12.63 lbs. worth $250.00. Sixth place went to Roger Bird and Jerry Farmer with 12.57 lbs. worth $200.00.

Largemouth lunker went to the team of Craig Powers and John West weighing 5.53 lbs. Smallmouth lunker went to the team of Sonny Lee and Harold Parsons weighing 3.25 lbs. Both lunkers were worth $240.00 each.

Congratulations to our Anglers of the Year, Doug and David Winchell, who won the points race by 35 points over Jason Nichols and Ott DeFOE. Winchell and Winchell also won the second half A.O.Y. by 33 points. They received $1,000.00 for overall Angler of the Year and $500.00 for the second half.

The 2010 Classic will be held on Wheeler Lake in Rogersville, Alabama at Joe Wheeler State Park September 24th - 25th. Check out our website for links to our host motel and towns of Rogersville and Florence, AL. Please plan to attend. There will be more details sent out later.
