Siler and Holt Win B.A.I.T. TN-I on Douglas

It was a beautiful spring day and 49 boats showed up to compete for B.A.I.T. TN-I's fifth tournament of the season. Despite the crowded ramp everybody got off to a good start at 6:30 a.m. First place honors went to the team of Guy Siler and Brian Holt with a nice limit of fish weighing 20.89 lbs. They netted $1,000.00 for their efforts. Second place went to Charlie Rasch and Gary Pilkenton with 19.90 lbs. worth $610.00. Third place went to Doug and David Winchell with 17.91 lbs. worth $420.00. Fourth place went to Ken and Brian Vicchio with 16.06 worth $350.00. Fifth place went to Joe and Jake Lee with 15.42 lbs. worth $300.00. Sixth place went to Carl Maxfield and Tracy Parker with 14.93 lbs. worth $250.00. Seventh place went to Mike Wolfenbarger and Steve Miracle with 13.78 lbs. worth $200.00. Eighth place went to Billy Holt and James Burchfield with 13.29 lbs. worth $160.00.

Lunker Largemouth went to the team of Charlie Rasch and Gary Pilkenton weighing 6.12 lbs. and was worth $245.00. Lunker Smallmouth went to the team of Burton Bryan and Jeff Russell weighing 3.76 lbs. and was worth $245.00. The Watson's Marine contingency money went to Charlie Rasch and Gary Pilkenton for being the highest finishing Ranger boat.

The points race is tightening up with second place tied so watch out leaders!! The Angler of the Year is worth $1,000.00. We want to thank John Ogle with South Doyle Little league football team for providing hot dogs and hamburgers. He will also be at our next tournament.

Congratulations to all and thanks for fishing "America's Best Team Trail". Our next tournament will be May 21, 2011 on Cherokee launching from 25 E. Bridge. Be there early! Pre-registration will be from 12 - 6 p.m. Friday (05/20/2011) at Bucks n Bass. Also TN-II has their next tournament 5-14-2011 at Ft. Loudoun launching from the Canal.
