White and Wylie Win B.A.I.T. TN-I on Cherokee

Saturday February 20, 2010 turned out to be a nice spring-like day for B.A.I.T. TN-I’s tournament on Cherokee Lake. The fishing was slow to say the least. Only 38 fish were weighed in among 43 boats due to cold water temperatures. Jimmy White and Tim Wylie took first place honors with a limit of fish weighing 10.22 lbs. They netted $1,000.00 for their efforts. Second place went to Randy Brown and Billy Holt with 8.61 lbs. worth $800.00. Third place went to Don and Nancy McCurdy with 7.53 lbs. worth $500.00. Fourth place went to Jack Wade and Ryan Inklebarger with 7.18 lbs. worth $230.00. Fifth place went to Robert Cannon and Barry Guthrie with 6.71 lbs. worth $150.00. Sixth place went to Tim Smiley and Mike Lowe with 4.65 lbs. worth $120.00.

Largemouth lunker went to the team of Doug and David Winchell weighing 4.01 lbs. and was worth $205.00. Smallmouth lunker went to the team of Don and Nancy McCurdy weighing 2.50 lbs. and was worth $205.00.

Congratulations to our first half Angler of the Year winners Doug and David Winchell. They will receive $500.00 for their efforts. This tournament was also the first tournament of the 2nd half A.O.Y. points race. The winners of the 2nd half Angler of the Year will also receive $500.00. White and Wylie are currently in the lead with Brown and Holt in second place. Our overall Angler of the Year will receive $1,000.00 and you must fish all seven tournaments to qualify.
