DeFOE and Nichols Win B.A.I.T. TN-I on Ft. Loudoun / Tellico

Saturday November 14th was a beautiful day at Ft. Loudoun except for the two hour fog delay. Otherwise the weather was picture perfect. Sixty - nine teams showed up to compete for a payout of over $7,500.00 in cash and prizes. Ott DeFOE and Jason Nichols came out on top with a limit of fish weighing 18.52 lbs. worth 2,500.00 for first place money. Ott reported that they caught them on the upper end of the lake with a 5/8 oz. Tabu jig using 25lb. test Trilene 100% fluorocarbon line. Second place went to Robbie Snow and Cliff Rowland with 11.60 lbs. worth $900.00. Third place went to Chris Buswell and Jason Martin with 10.22 lbs. worth $600.00. Fourth place went to Ritchie Anderson and Tim Martin with 9.66 lbs. worth $500.00. Fifth place went to Joe and Jake Lee with 9.60 lbs. worth $400.00. Sixth place went to Jeremy Harrison and John Dunn with 9.50 lbs. worth $300.00. Seventh place went to David Shreve and Keith Cardwell with 9.23 lbs. worth $300.00. Eighth place went to Hubert Borden and Frank Curtis with 9.15 lbs. worth $200.00. Ninth place went to Dale and Danny Pelfrey with 8.95 lbs. worth $200.00.

Largemouth lunker went to Robbie Snow and Cliff Rowland weighing 5.50 lbs. worth $345.00. Smallmouth Lunker went to Robert Cannon and Barry Guthrie weighing 5.13 lbs. worth $345.00. All fish were returned alive to the lake. Congratulations to all and thanks for fishing "America's Best Team Trail".
